The Swedish Sallmanns
Bernt Sallmann contacted me the first time in November 2002. He and is family is living in Karlskoga Sweden today (about 250km west from Stockholm). He is searching for his ancestors in Germany.
He became very interested when he read about my contacts with the churches and people in Bad Muskau, because his decedents are coming from the same area.
Franz Ewald Sallmann was born in September 22, 1859 in Hermannsdorf (short form: Hermsdorf). Today it is called Przewozniki (Poland) - it is 6 km east to Bad Muskau - just behind the German/Polish border) and his siblings Anna Selma Sallmann, born in November 14th, 1862 and Johann Paul Alexander Sallmann, born in November 8th, 1865. Bernt is very interested, what happened to Anna Selma and Johann.
Their parents were Stephan Sallmann, born 1817 in Hermsdorf, he was a brush-maker and his wife Anna Mottheisk, born in 1824 in Skerbersdorf (?) They married on February 2nd, 1847 in Muskau (St. Andreas Church). The parents to Stephan were Joseph Sallmann, born 1790, also brush maker and his wife Maria Magdalena Werlach
Franz Ewald S. came to Russia and was living in ST. Petersburg until 1917. During the revolution he was forced to escape with his wife and two children: Albert and Ludwig. After some adventures they came to Sweden and Eda. One year later Theresia arrived. 5 siblings stayed in Russia - Bernt had his first contacts with Russian relatives in 1990 and have met some up til now.
If there are any information about the above mentioned decedents please contact Bernt.
